Today I had the chance to preview the new seven unit building that has just completed construction on West Knoll. You know my obsession with walk-ability and location, so let me start with that. The development is located smack dab in between Sunset and Santa Monica Blvd. If your gay you go to the left to boy’s (or girl’s) town and if your straight you head right to the Sunset Strip (if your bi then I guess you’re screwed - OK dumg joke) which makes this location just about perfect for everyone! The complex itself has a tiered design element allowing for panoramic views from all of the front facing units. What’s cool about all the new green architecture popping up is that not only is it eye catching, but in my opinion does not interfere with the overall vibe of the neighborhood’s that they inhabit. This building is no exception to that. The model that was featured today was the Penthouse for $1,695,000 which is absolutely stunning (especially the views). I did look at the entry level units starting at $895,000 and was pretty impressed by them as well. Although you are not going to get the views, you still get the unique layout and standard amenities such as: pewter oak stained hardwood floors (these are the new espresso colored floors for 2009), full height view windows, Miele kitchen appliances, seagrass woven carpeting (hardwoods cannot be extended into the bedrooms), Bosh washer/dryers, dual glazed energy efficient windows, honed smooth kitchen and bath floors, and large Duravit soaking tubs.
